There was never any doubt that Michael was destined to be a great chef. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1987, and received the Waldorf Astoria Award for graduation atop his class that year. After more than 20 years as Executive Chef in a Five-Star Manhattan restaurant, Michael found a new home with the Russo's family in 2004 as Executive Chef for Russo's On The Bay, Vetro, and Giardino. Michael has numerous commendations by the James Beard Foundation, and is a consultant chef for Colavita Company, Darden Restaurant Group, Carmelina Tomatoes, and Unilever Foods. Michael helped play a pivotal role in the development of Vetro Restaurant and Lounge, and will play a big part in the future endeavors of the company.
