Who are the Angels on the Bay?
Founded in 1994 by Frank Russo, Jr., family and friends, this small group of “Angels in Training” began their mission to be the keepers of hope and the guardians of dreams to all children in need of a little miracle. Their inspiration came from personal encounters with pediatric illness and their personal concern for the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bruno Rinaldi, Adrianna Rinaldi, who was stricken with terminal cancer in 1994.
What is Angels on the Bay?
Angels on the Bay, Inc. is a non for-profit children’s charity sponsored by caring individuals who, from personal experiences, have been affected by the heartbreak of children’s suffering. Their mission is to raise funds and awareness to help provide life enhancing services for the chronically ill, developmentally disabled and physically challenged children of our community. Our contributions are strictly designated for children / pediatric services, medical equipment, education and the research of life threatening diseases. The Angels on the Bay wish to support organizations & facilities that provide genuine care, education and hope to children with special needs.
Where do the funds go from all the Angels on the Bay fundraising efforts?
Our goals are very clear and specific - all funds, excluding some small administrative costs (postage & printing) goes directly to children’s services and programs and medical equipment.

What is the Angels on the Bay Benefit Ball:
The Angels on the Bay Benefit Ball is an annual event held at Russo’s on the Bay in Howard Beach, NY. The evening’s program includes an elaborate dinner, dancing, entertainment and grand raffle drawing. The Benefit Ball is underwritten by Frank Russo Jr.; the entertainment and all professional services are generously donated for the evening. It is the centerpiece of all our fundraising efforts; an opportunity to share our accomplishments with all our supporters, friends and family. The Angels on the Bay Benefit Ball invitation is open to all that wish to attend. This is also an opportunity for businesses, local supporters and friends to participate in our commemorative journal.
